COLUMBIA, Missouri - The Lyon College Scots softball team had their season come to an abrupt ending with a 5-0 loss to Hannibal-LaGrange in the American Midwest Conference tournament on Wednesday afternoon at Antimi Softball Complex.

Hannibal-LaGrange scored one run in the bottom of the second inning, two runs in the bottom of the third inning and added a run each in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings on 12 hits. The Scots were shutout with five hits. 

Celsey Wood led off the top of the second inning with a single and Trinity Arrambide beat out an infield hit and Emily Martinez got a hit to load the base with two outs, but Lyon College didn't score.

Megan Englehardt singled in the top of the sixth inning, but was left stranded on base and Arrambide singled in the top of the seventh. 

The Scots finish the season 13-24.
