PARKVILLE, MO. – The Lyon College Scots dropped the second game of a double-header to the Park University Pirates on Friday afternoon, 6-5, ironically the exact same way they lost the first game, on a three-run walk-off homer.
The Scots (11-8) trailed 2-0 when
Jayden Cull scored on a passed ball in the top of the second inning. Lyon College took the lead in the top of the fourth inning when
Tristan Buschow reached on an error by the Park pitcher that scored
Alec White and Cull. Later in the inning,
Troy Strack singled to center field to bring in Buschow for a 4-2 lead.
After Park scored in the bottom of the sixth inning to close the gap to one run, Cull hit a sacrifice fly to bring
Alan West to make it 5-3 Scots in the top of the seventh.
Park got a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning with one out to walk-off with the double-header sweep.
