OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Lyon College Women's wrestling team finished fourth overall at the Sooner Athletic Conference Women's wrestling championships on Feb. 26.
Lyon College amassed 105 points, 1.5 points behind host Oklahoma City University of 106.5. Texas Wesleyan was first and Wayland Baptist University place second.
Individually,
Kelani Corbett of Lyon College won the 191-pound classification by technical fall over Ryann Rumsey of Oklahoma City University (TF 10-0).
Emma De Brum of Lyon College finished second in the women's 116-pound class. Camille Fournier of Texas Wesleyan University won by tech fall over De Brum TF 10-0. De Brum defeated Carlie Coupier of Texas Wesleyan 10-0.
Alexandrea Banag of Lyon was second in the 136-pound classification.
Banag won by fall over Lindsay Mills of Missouri Baptist University.
Then, Banag won by tech fall over Adriana Orozco of Oklahoma City University 10-0 and won by injury default over Mea Mohler of Texas Wesleyan.
