ST. LOUIS, Missouri – The Lyon College Scots had to wait a day, but picked up their 19
th win row by defeating the Harris-Stowe State Hornets 80-59 on Friday to improve to 24-4 overall and 16-1 and reamine atop the American Midwest Conference standings with one more game remaining in the regular season.
The Scots make a quick turnaround trip back to Batesville to take on the University of Health, Sciences and Pharmacy on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day. The game times have been pushed back to a 2 p.m. start for the women's game and a 4 p.m. start for the men's contest.
Against Harris-Stowe,
Jade Giron scored 22 points,
Marleigh Dodson had 17 points,
Allison Byars scored 16 and
Paige Kelley added 13 points in the win for the Scots. Kelley led Lyon with eight rebounds, while Giron led with four assists and four steals.
