Lyon College men drop AMC game to UHS&P

Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Lyon College Scots men's basketball team lost to the University of Health, Sciences and Pharmacy Eutectics 95-86 on Thursday night in St. Louis.

It was the first American Midwest Conference win for the Eutectics (2-11,1-3). The Scots (3-6, 0-4) trailed 45-39 at halftime and were out-scored 50-47 in the second half.

Sando Hill led Lyon College in scoring with 21 points, Nikola SaSaroga had 17 points, John Paul Morgan had 14 points and Israel Palmer scored 13 points. The Scots got 34 points in the paint, scored 26 points off of turnovers, had 13 second chance points, scored a basket off a fast break and had 13 points from their bench. 

The Scots led 15-5 early in the first half, but eventually gave up the lead to the Eutectics in the final two minutes of the first half. The Scots got as close as eight points in the first three minutes, but eventually trailed by as much as 18 points midway through the half. In the final minute, Palmer made a layup to make it a six point game, 86-80, but UHS&P made free throws down the stretch.
