BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Lyon College men's and women's basketball teams will be hosting the Arkansas Baptist College Buffaloes this morning beginning with a 10 a.m. tip-off of the women's nonconference contest.
The men's game will follow at 12 p.m. (noon) and will be the second time this season to meet. The Scots (2-4) lost to the Buffaloes in Little Rock (79-76) in the final seconds, but since then, Arkansas Baptist has lost eight games and won four, including a win over Williams Baptist University last month. Lyon College is coming off a 76-71 home loss to Harris-Stowe and was led in scoring by
Israel Palmer with 14 points. Trent Bell had 3 points,
Nikola SaSaroga had 12 points, while
John Paul Morgan and
Sando Hill had 10 points each in the American Midwest Conference loss.
The Buffaloes are coming off an 85-51 loss at Langston University on Tuesday night. Arkansas Baptist trailed 31-27 at halftime, but were outscored by 30 points in the second half. Ryan Stowers led the Buffaloes with 13 points, while Nicholas Hargrove Jr. had eight points.

The women's game begins the day with a 10 a.m. tip-off. The Scots (2-4) are coming off an American Midwest Conference win over Harris-Stowe (83-65) last week with
Allison Byars scoring 33 points. From that performance, Byars earned the AMC women's basketball Player of the Week.
The Buffaloes (4-4) were defeated in their last outing by Lane College (67-48). Jessicca Nerestant led Arkansas Baptist with 11 points and seven rebounds.
