Lyon College volleyball plays at Harris-Stowe State in AMC finale

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Lyon College volleyball Scots will wrap up the American Midwest Conference with a match today at 12 p.m. at Harris-Stowe State University at the Emerson Performance Center in St. Louis.

The Scots played Missouri Baptist on Friday night and come into the game in the middle of the pack in the conference standings. Lyon College is led by senior Erin Haigwood, who is the current leader in the AMC in digs. Kyle Sabella is third overall in points and fourth in kills and Samantha Ferguson is ninth overall in blocks.

Lyon College will be participating in the AMC tournament that begins on Tuesday, November 8 at 7 p.m. 

The tournament shapes up with the No.1 seeded team hosting the 8th seeded team; the No. 4 seed will host the No. 5 seed; the No. 3 seed will host the No. 6 seed and the No. 2 seed will host the No. 7 seeded team in the first round. The semifinals are slated to start on Friday, November 11 at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. with the winner of Game 1 (No.1 seed vs. No. 8) playing the winner of Game 2 (No. 4 vs. No. 5). The other semifinal match will feature the winner of Game 3 (No. 3 vs. No. 6) vs. the winner of Game 4 (No. 2 vs. No. 7). The championship game will be on Saturday, November 12 at the highest-seeded team's school.
