BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College volleyball team opened up its season with four victories this past weekend at the Philander Smith College Tournament. The Scots defeated Paul Quinn College and Southwestern Christian in four sets to open up the tournament before sweeping Wiley College and Jarvis Christian College during the final day of the tournament. The Scots will now play in front of their home crowd for the first time this season on Tuesday when they take on Bethel at 6 p.m.

LYON: Natalia Szymanska and
Isabella Beasley led the Scots offensively with 33 and 32 kills, respectively, at the PSC Tournament this past weekend.
Layla Wilson posted a team-high 86 assists during the four matches, while
Adia Sherbeyn collected a team-high 56 digs.
BU: Bethel enters Tuesday's contest with a record of 3-1 overall. Much of the offense for Bethel is ran through Hannah McGowan as she has collected a team-high 51 kills through the first four matches. Brookelyn Davis leads the team with 69 assists, while Nayeli Vilchez has recorded a team-high 51 digs.
UP NEXT
Following Tuesday's match against Bethel, the Scots will host the Highlander Invitational this Friday and Saturday at Becknell Gymnasium. The Scots will open up the two-day invitational on Friday at 2 p.m. against Centenary College.
