SCOUTING REPORTS

LYON: The Scots posted a record of 8-14 this past spring and return Second-Team All-American Midwest Conference libero Adia Sherbeyn. Sherbeyn led the Scots in both digs and aces in her first season at Lyon College. She registered 434 digs and 23 aces to go along with 55 assists and five kills last spring. Layne Smith is another key returnee for the Scots as she recorded 115 kills in her first season at Lyon.

PQC: Paul Quinn College enters this weekend's tournament with a record of 3-2 on the year. Kennadi Harris, Michaela Johnson and Symone Carmenar are the go-to players for PQC on the offensive side of the net. Harris leads the team with 32 kills this season, followed by Johnson (30 kills) and Carmenar (23). Kesmyre Smalls leads PQC with 45 digs.

SWC: Southwestern Christian enters this weekend with an 0-2 record. Abagail Heimerman leads the team with 12 kills, while Makenna Thomas is second with 10. Tresure Mozon has recorded a team-high 29 digs through the first two matches.

WC: Much like the Scots, this weekend's matches will also be the first for Wiley College this season. The Lady Wildcats last competed in Nov. 2019 after not playing during the 2020-21 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Wiley College is a young team as the roster is comprised of mainly freshmen and sophomores outside of Makayla Byrd and Tiyanna Johnson, who are the lone upperclassmen.

JC: Jarvis Christian will be playing in their first matches of the season this weekend after posting a 2-18 record last year. The Lady Bulldogs return their top player from a season ago in Lauryn Johnson. Johnson was the lone player to eclipse 100 kills for Jarvis Christian as she led the team with 136 kills.
