Box Score WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – The Lyon College women's soccer team used a second-half goal to defeat Williams Baptist University on Tuesday by a score of 1-0.
Lyon moves to 3-2, 3-0 in the AMC, while WBU falls to 1-10, 1-7 in the AMC.

Each side created chances in the first 45 minutes, but the match remained scoreless as the halftime whistle sounded.

Kate Whitenton took the corner kick and delivered a perfect ball to the far post.
Alli Mead was in perfect position and directed the ball into the net, giving Lyon a 1-0 lead. The Eagles attempted to respond with a goal of their own, but the defense of the Scots stymied the hosts from Walnut Ridge and earned a 1-0 victory over WBU on Tuesday.
