Box Score WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's soccer team used a first-half goal to defeat Williams Baptist University on Tuesday by a score of 1-0.
Lyon moves to 3-2-1, 2-0 in the AMC, while WBU falls to 8-3-1, 3-3 in the AMC.
GAME FLOW
The Scots got on the scoreboard first as a long throw in was sent into the box.
Paul-Florian Efang got on the end of it and headed the ball to the back post to a cutting
Raimundo Cabello. Cabello directed the ball into the back of the net, giving Lyon a 1-0 lead 23 minutes into the match. Lyon would take the one-goal advantage into the half. The Scots outshot the Eagles, 4-1.
The Eagles attempted to respond with a goal of their own, but the defense of the Scots stymied the hosts from Walnut Ridge and earned a 1-0 victory over WBU on Tuesday.
