LEBANON, Tenn. – The Lyon College volleyball team opened their season In Tennessee with a road matchup against Cumberland University. The Scots pushed the Phoenix in each set, but Cumberland University was up to the task as the hosts bested the Scots in three sets (25-21, 25-21, 25-21).
Lyon moves to 0-1 on the young season, while Cumberland University improves to 2-5 during their 2020-21 campaign.
KEY STATISTICS
- Maggee Hobson was all over the court tonight as she registered her first career double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs.
- Adia Sherbeyn notched a match-high 27 digs in her debut as a Scot.
- Kaitlyn Jackson tallied a team-best 24 assists in the contest.
- Cumberland University bested the Scots in kills, 41-29.

Lyon returns to the court tomorrow night for their second road match in as many days. This time, the Scots will square off against Philander Smith College in Little Rock at 6:00 p.m.
