BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College women's soccer team hosts Stephens College on Saturday. The match will begin at 2:30 p.m.
 
The Matchup
Stephens College: The Stephens College Stars are 0-2 on the season as they fell to Ottawa University and Central Methodist University. The Stars are led up front by Olivia Wheeler. Wheeler has the lone goal of the season for Stephens College. The Stars will lean on their goalkeeper, Kaylee Swinford, who has recorded a team-high 10 saves through two games.  
 
Lyon College: The Lyon College Scots are 0-2 on the season as they lost to the University of Arkansas – Pine Bluff on Tuesday by a score of 3-0. Lyon will be led by a trio of upperclassmen in senior Alexandria Denton and juniors Sarah Evans and Hailey Gonzales. Denton started all 17 matches in the 2019 campaign, while scoring three goals, including two game-winners, and tallied a team-best six assists. Evans started all 17 matches last season for the Scots, while tallying five goals, including one game-winner, and recorded four assists. Gonzales scored five goals on the year and registered a team-high six assists a season ago. The Scots goalkeeper, Jena Vavasseur, recorded a match-high 10 saves against UAPB on Tuesday.   
 
Series History
Lyon is 6-1 all-time against Stephens College, with their most recent meeting being in 2019 as the Stars defeated the Scots by a score of 1-0.
