BATESVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas – Pine Bluff Lady Lions used a trio of first-half goals to defeat Lyon College by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday.
Lyon moves to 0-2 overall, while UAPB improves to 2-0 on the season.
GAME FLOW
Both sides generated chances in the first half, but it was UAPB who got on the scoreboard first. In the 7
th minute, Tobi McCoy snuck a shot into the back of the net, giving UAPB a 1-0 advantage. The Lady Lions would tack on two more goals from McCoy in the 25
th and 40
th minute to take a 3-0 lead into the half. UAPB outshot Lyon, 11-3.
The Scots attempted to build a comeback in the second half, but were unsuccessful and fell to the Lady Lions by a score of 3-0.
