Box Score 2 BATESVILLE, Ark. - Lyon College men's and women's basketball teams both claimed victories against Williams Baptist University at home for their second conference match of the season on Saturday.

The Lady Scots ended their win streak on Thursday with a 53-67 loss to Columbia College. On Saturday, the Scots pulled ahead early to win 76-60 against the Eagles with a combined 30 points by the team's leaders
Paige Kelley and
Jade Giron. Kelley finished with 16 points for the game while Giron collected 14. The Scots move to 6-4 overall and 1-1 for the conference.

For their next match, the women will travel to Little Rock, Arkansas for a rematch against Philander Smith College on Saturday, December 11 at 1:00 p.m.

The men of Lyon basketball increased their season record to 3-7 after finishing the game 11 points ahead of the Eagles to win 83-72 on Saturday. The Scots trailed 36-42 to go into halftime, but they came out in the second half with a new sense of determination.
John Paul Morgan and
Ben Keton finished the game with 28 points each to lead the Scots to their third win of the season. The Scots are now 1-1 for the conference.

The men will take nine days off then hit the road heading to Muskogee, Oklahoma to battle Bacone College on Monday, December 13 with the tipoff scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
