BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's and women's basketball programs will head for Columbia, Missouri to take on the Columbia College Cougars in their conference-play opener.
The Lady Scots will enter the match with an overall record of 5-3 looking to advance their four-game win streak to five. In their last game, sophomore
Paige Kelley put up 22 of the Scots' 54 points to tally the win over John Brown University.
The men of Lyon Basketball have won two of their eight matches so far this season. They are coming off a loss against Arkansas Baptist where senior
Ben Keton collected 23 points for the Scots, but the team came up short 67-79.
The Lady Cougars won their last match against Iowa Wesleyan 67-60 with a combined 33 points from sisters Mallory and Clare Shetley sending their record to 7-3. The men's team is also coming off a win against Webster University. They put up 91 points to Webster's 72 with 20 points from senior Chima Oduocha. Their record currently stands at 5-6.
