BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Lyon College women's basketball team traveled to Holly Springs, Mississippi to face Rust College on Tuesday. The Bearcats stunned by 12 points (54-42), sending the Scots to 1-1.

The Scots went into the half trailing 14-25 with Paige Kelley putting up six points. Kelley ended the game with 10 points, the second-most for the Scots with Jade Giron leading with 11. The Bearcats of Rust College advances to 7-0 following the win on Tuesday. Senior Shay Johnson led the team collecting a total of 25 points in 33 minutes.

Next in action, the Scots will travel to Atchison, Kansas for the Benedictine Classic on Friday and Saturday. Lyon will go up against Benedictine on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and will face Baker University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
