BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon Soccer programs will close out their regular seasons with home matches against Williams Baptist University on Saturday.Â
Before the start of the clock, Lyon will recognize the seniors of the women's team starting around 12:45 p.m.
The women of Lyon soccer will then take the field at 1:00 p.m. against its 5-8 opponent. The Scots advanced to 5-9-1 after a 6-0 shutout against Central Baptist College on Tuesday led by leading scorer Sarah Evans. Taylor Hammons and Hailey Gonzales each shot a goal in Tuesday's match to leave the Mustangs behind early in the game.
The men's soccer team will take the field for its final regular season match against the Mustangs after the women's match.Â
The men of Scots' soccer also produced a shutout against Central Baptist on Tuesday with a final score of 3-0. The win gave the Scots a 6-0-1 conference record with an overall record of 10-4-1. Marcos Fernandez accounts for two of the goals while Juan Araque takes the other. After Saturday's matchup, the men's team will host an AMC Playoff game on November 6.
