THE MATCHUP
LYON:
Sophomores Winston Peace and Cole Anderson paced the Scots on Tuesday against the Generals. Peace led all scorers as he finished with a career-high 20 points to go along with seven rebounds. Anderson posted a 17-point, six-rebound effort against LSUA, which was two points shy of tying his career high he set last year on Jan. 11 against Park. Dominique Loyd also finished in double figures as he ended the game with 13 points. Peace, Anderson, Loyd and Ray Price are all averaging double figures scoring this season. Peace is averaging 14 points per game, followed by Anderson's 11.5 points per game, while Price and Loyd are both averaging 10.5 a game. Chris Craig has been a force on the boards for the Scots as he grabbed nine rebounds in each of the first two games for Lyon.

HLGU: Hannibal-LaGrange enters Thursday night's game at 1-7 on the year. The Trojans last played on Dec. 10, when they suffered a 74-69 loss in overtime to Saint Ambrose. HLGU is led in scoring by Michael Hood and Logan Dorethy. Hood is averaging a team-high 14.3 points per game, while Dorethy is just behind him at 12.3 points per game. Dorethy is the team's leading rebounder at 5.3 rebounds per game.

MBU: Missouri Baptist sports a 4-4 record entering this weekend's games. The Spartans will host Columbia College on Thursday prior to taking on the Scots on Saturday. Much like the Trojans, the Spartans will be playing their first games in nearly a month following a 75-55 loss at St. Ambrose on Dec. 14. John Yaeger is the player to watch for MBU as he is leading the team in scoring (16.7 points per game) and rebounding (8.3 rebounds per game). Brendon Hardy and Tyrell Andrews are also averaging double-digit point totals at 13.4 and 10.5 points per game, respectively.

SERIES HISTORY
The Scots are 12-4 all-time against Hannibal-LaGrange and hold a 15-11 advantage in the all-time series against Missouri Baptist.

Lyon swept the home-and-home series against both HLGU and MBU last season.

UP NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
Following this weekend's games at HLGU and MBU, the Lyon College men's basketball team will prepare for another conference road game when the Scots travel to (RV) Central Baptist College on Jan. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
