BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's basketball team earned an impressive, 73-48, win at Bacone College on Thursday night as the Scots will now return home and host William Woods in an American Midwest Conference matchup on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Spectators for Lyon College Athletic home events will be limited to Lyon College faculty, staff and students as well as two family members (including children) for Lyon College student-athletes competing at the event (must present card to enter). Admission is $5 per person (athletic events are free to all current students, staff, and faculty with Lyon ID.) Seating is limited and will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Gates open 30 minutes prior to tip-off. Masks must be worn at all times and temperature checks upon entrance.

THE MATCHUP
LYON: Thursday's win at Bacone improved the Scots' record to 3-3 on the season. Lyon is also 2-1 entering this weekend's game in conference play. Cole Anderson comes into Saturday's game as the Scots' leading scorer after recording his first-career double-double (18 points, 11 rebounds) at Bacone. Anderson is averaging 13.7 points per game and has scored in double figures in five straight games, including back-to-back 18-point outings. Anderson is shooting better than 61% from the field this season (34-for-55). Dominique Loyd and Ray Price are averaging just under double figures at 9.8 and 9.7 points per game, respectively. Chris Craig continues to lead the Scots with 6.5 rebounds per game.
WWU: William Woods enters Saturday's game at 2-4 overall and 2-2 in the AMC. The Owls are coming off a 66-57 loss at (RV) Central Baptist College on Thursday night. WWU is led offensively by freshman guard Spencer Yoggerst, who is averaging a team-high 14.2 points per game. Makenzie Fessler and Tyriel Nelson are also averaging double figures scoring at 12.3 and 10.4 points per game, respectively. The Scots will look to get past Darius Yohe in the paint as he holds the career blocks record for the Owls after breaking the mark just five games into his sophomore season.
SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series between the Scots and Owls is tied at 8-8. Lyon and WWU split last year's home-and-home series with the home team winning each contest. The Scots earned a 51-50 win on Dec. 21, 2019, in their home portion of the series.
UP NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
Following Saturday's game against William Woods, the Scots will travel to Columbia, Mo., to take on Columbia College on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
