CONWAY, Ark. – The Lyon College men's wrestling team defeated Central Baptist College Tuesday evening in an AMC Dual, 36-18.
In the 149 pound weight class,
Carlos Cuevas went up against Raivyn Alicea. Cuevas and Alicea battled hard, but Cuevas put together some great combinations and defeated Alicea by a score of 7-3.
Lyon, then earned forfeit victories in the 157, 165, 174, 184, and 197 pound weight classes.
In the final match of the dual,
Noah Wilson squared off with Cody Freeman. Wilson executed flawlessly and defeated Freeman, 8-2, earning Lyon a 36-18 victory in the AMC clash.
Coach's Corner: "It was a very interesting dual. We left some people at home to take care of school work and to prepare for some exams. The kids we took still found a way to make it work. We go back to work tomorrow to get ready for Williams Baptist, along with honoring our seniors." - Coach
