BATESVILLE, Ark. – With seeding for the American Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Championship coming down to the final week, the Lyon College men's basketball team will host a pair of key conference games this weekend at home. The Scots will host St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. before taking on Columbia College on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Scots can finish anywhere from the No. 3-seed to the No. 7-seed for the AMC Championship, which will take place on Mar. 4, 6 and 9 at the higher seeds.

THE MATCHUP
LYON: The Scots enter the final week of the regular season at 17-11 (12-8 AMC). Lyon is currently two games back of Freed-Hardeman and (RV) Central Baptist College, who are tied for second place in the conference standings. Hunter Daley is leading the Scots in scoring this season at 10.8 points per game. In conference play, Daley is averaging 11.0 points per game, while Ray Price is also averaging double figures in scoring at 10.0 points per game.
STLCOP: St. Louis College of Pharmacy enters the final week of its season at 5-21 (3-17 AMC). Jordan Anderson is the leading scorer for the Eutectics at 17.2 points per game, which currently ranks third in the conference. RJ Wright is also scoring in double figures at 14.5 points per game.
CC: Columbia College enters the final week of the regular season at 18-10 (13-7 AMC) and currently sits in a tie with Harris-Stowe for fourth place in the conference standings. CC and HSSU are currently one game ahead of the Scots in the standings. The Cougars will play at (RV) Central Baptist College on Thursday before making the trip to Batesville on Saturday. Three Cougars enter the week averaging double figures in scoring, led by Thibault Benabid's team-high 12.0 points per game. Justin Shaw is second on the team, averaging 10.9 points per game, followed by Casius Bell, Jr., who is averaging 10.6 points per game.
SERIES HISTORY
The Scots are 10-1 all-time against STLCOP and 4-27 all-time against Columbia College. The Scots earned a 64-55 win at STLCOP earlier this season on Jan. 16 before falling on the road at CC, 65-57, two days later.

Following Saturday's game against Columbia College, the Scots will prepare for the AMC Men's Basketball Championship, which will take place on Mar. 4, 6 and 9 at the higher seeds.
