BATESVILLE, Ark. – With three weeks left in the regular season, the (RV) Lyon College men's basketball team looks to remain in the hunt for one of the top spots in the American Midwest Conference standings as the Scots prepare for a pair of key road conference games this weekend. The Scots will travel to Williams Baptist on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. and end the week at No. 19 Central Baptist College on Saturday at 3 p.m.

THE MATCHUP
LYON: The Scots enter the weekend at 16-8 overall and 11-5 in the AMC. The Scots are currently tied with (RV) Park for third in the AMC standings and are one game back of Central Baptist College, who leads the conference at 12-4. Hunter Daley and Cole Anderson continue to pace the Scots offensively. Daley leads the team in scoring at 11.0 points per game and 53 made three-pointers this so far this season. Anderson is second on the team in scoring at 10.4 points per game but leads the team in field-goal percentage (60.2%).
WBU: Williams Baptist enters Thursday night's matchup at 8-11 overall and 7-8 in the AMC. The Eagles are currently tied with William Woods for eighth in the conference standings. Travon Cobb and Cortez King lead the Eagles offensively. Cobb is averaging a team-high 13.5 points per game, while King is second on the team at 12.1 points per game.
CBC: Central Baptist College enters the weekend at 16-6 overall and 12-4 in the AMC and will travel to Freed-Hardeman on Thursday before hosting the Scots on Saturday. Five players average double figures in scoring for CBC entering this week. Darius Williams leads the team at 14.2 points per game, followed by Simon Okolue (13.3 PPG), Tedrick Wolfe (12.9 PPG), Tyrone Alston (11.1 PPG) and Darius Polley (10.9 PPG).
SERIES HISTORY
The Scots are 46-18 all-time against WBU and 13-11 all-time against CBC. Lyon defeated Williams Baptist, 69-60, earlier this season on Dec. 3 at home. The Scots also earned a 65-51 home win against then-No. 18 CBC on Jan. 4.
UP NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
Following this Saturday's game at No. 19 CBC, the Scots will return home to host Freed-Hardeman on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. for Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night.
