BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's soccer team travels to Pulaski, Tennessee on Saturday. The Scots will face Martin Methodist College at 5:00 p.m.
The Matchup
Martin Methodist College: The Martin Methodist College Redhawks, a member of the Southern States Athletic Conference, post a 3-1 record on the year. The Redhawks are coming off a win over Talladega College on Wednesday. Martin Methodist is led up front by Jonas Arcalean and Mario Lopez. Arcalean has a team-best six goals on the year, while Lopez has scored three goals and tallied a team-high three assists. The Redhawks will lean on goalkeeper, Francesco Zanin, who has recorded 13 saves in the 2019 campaign.
Lyon College: The Lyon College Scots are riding a three-match win streak, with wins over Bacone College, Lincoln College, and Culver-Stockton College last week. The Scots are led up front by
Raimundo Cabello and
Marcos Fernandez. Cabello has tallied a team-high six goals on the year, while Fernandez has an NAIA-best ten assists. Lyon's
Nate Ayalew has tallied five goals so far, while
Emanuel Santos has posted six assists in the 2019 campaign. Lyon College will also lean on junior goalkeeper,
Vicente Alamos, who has totaled a team-best 16 saves, including one clean sheet.

Lyon is 1-1-0 all-time against Martin Methodist College, with their most recent meeting being in 2017 as the Redhawks defeated the Scots by a score of 3-2.
