BATESVILLE, Ark. -- The Lyon College football team pulled out a 14-10 come-from-behind victory over Missouri Baptist to open up its 2019 season last weekend as the Scots will now shift their focus to another quality opponent this Saturday in Hendrix College. Saturday's contest at Hendrix College will mark the final non-conference game for the Scots this season. The Scots and Warriors will square off at 6 p.m. in Conway, Ark., in the 'Battle for ScotZilla.' Hendrix leads the all-time series (since 2015), 4-0, after defeating Lyon, 37-27, in last year's meeting in Conway on Sept. 1.

SCOUTING THE SCOTS
Lyon enters Saturday's game at Hendrix at 1-0 after defeating Missouri Baptist to open up its season. The Scots look for their first 2-0 start to open up a season since returning to the gridiron in 2015.
Lane Hickey and
Randy Satterfield sparked the Scots offensively last weekend against the Spartans. Hickey hauled in four passes for 70 yards and caught the game-winning touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. Satterfield added five catches for 66 yards. Satterfield got the scoring started for the Scots with a 42-yard punt return for a touchdown in the closing seconds of the third quarter.
Chris Reese led the Lyon College defense with nine total tackles against MBU.
Kareem Warren had a big night on the defensive line as he totaled six tackles, including two tackles-for-loss and one sack. He was named as the Sooner Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week following his performance.
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
Saturday's game will be the 2019 season opener for Hendrix College. The Warriors went 2-8 overall (1-7 Southern Athletic Association) in 2018.
Miles Thompson will likely get the start at quarterback for the Warriors on Saturday. Thompson started every game for the Warriors during the 2017 season and the first two games of the 2018 season before suffering a season-ending injury. The redshirt-junior as 238-of-363 passing for 2,472 yards and 37 touchdowns during the 2017 season. He also rushed 118 times for 552 yards and a team-high 10 scores.
Tanner Hartsfield is the top player returning on the defensive side of the ball for the Warriors. In 2018, Hartsfield led the Warriors with a team-high 70 total tackles, including 6.5 tackles-for-loss. He also forced one fumble. Brooks Parham finished second on the team with 54 tackles and is returning for his junior season.
UP NEXT
Following this weekend's game at Hendrix, the Scots will return to action and open up Sooner Athletic Conference play with a road game at Texas College on Sept. 21. Kickoff for the game at Texas College is scheduled for 11 a.m.
