BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College volleyball team welcomes College of the Ozarks to Batesville on Tuesday as the Scots will square off against the Lady Bobcats inside Becknell Gymnasium. First serve is set for 7:00 p.m.
The Matchup
College of the Ozarks: The Lady Bobcats are 12-8 on the season after falling to Missouri Southern State last Tuesday (24-26, 18-25, 16-25). Offensively, C of O is led by Ryley Thixton as she has racked up 235 kills through the first 20 matches of the 2019 campaign. Abi Menzies and Kaylan Smith follow closely behind their teammate as they have accumulated 172 and 167 kills, respectively. Rielly Wallace has notched a team-best 658 assists on the year, while Izzy Gibbany paces the Lady Bobcats in digs with 346 digs. Meanwhile, Maggie Plake and Kaylan Smith have used their length and athleticism at the net to combine for 74 blocks.
Lyon College: The Scots are 10-7 overall and 2-2 in the American Midwest Conference this season.
Michayla Shanks (153 kills),
Kendra Kelley (122 kills), and
Gracen Ratliff (102 kills) have each tallied over 100 kills this season, while
Alley Edwards is just two kills shy of eclipsing the 100-kill plateau in her freshmen campaign.
Kaitlyn Jackson has recorded a team-high 259 assists and 5.08 assists per set.
Maggee Hobson paces the Scots in service aces with 24, while
Maria Eleni Bampiri has racked up a team-leading 29 blocks.

The Scots are 0-7 all-time against College of the Ozarks. In their most recent meeting on Oct. 23, 2018, the Scots were swept by the Lady Bobcats (17-25, 9-25, 21-25).
