BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College women's soccer team squares off with Williams Baptist University on Tuesday. The match will begin at 2:00 p.m.
The Matchup
Williams Baptist University: The Williams Baptist University Eagles are 1-7 on the year, 0-4 in the AMC. The Eagles are coming off a 5-0 loss to Park University on Saturday. The Eagles are led up front by Maryn Jones. Jones has scored three of the team's six goals this season. WBU will lean on goalkeeper, Jasmine Espinoza, who has recorded a team-high 48 saves this year.
Lyon College: The Lyon College Scots are currently 4-5 on the season, 1-3 in the AMC. Lyon is coming off a 3-0 loss to Lindenwood University-Belleville on Saturday. The hosts from Batesville are led up front by an array of Scots.
Tabetha Troxler has scored a team-best six goals this year.
Sarah Evans and
Kimberly Fretwell have tallied four goals apiece on the young season, while
Alexandria Denton and
Hailey Gonzales have recorded six and five assists, respectively. In addition to her goal-scoring abilities, the Scots will lean on goalkeeper,
Tabetha Troxler, who has recorded a team-best 20 saves.

Lyon is 4-1-1 all-time against Williams Baptist University, with their most recent meeting being in 2018 as the Scots defeated the Eagles by a score of 5-1.
