BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College women's soccer team squares off with Lindenwood University-Belleville on Saturday. The match will begin at 2:30 p.m.
The Matchup
Lindenwood University-Belleville: The Lindenwood University-Belleville Lynx are 3-5 on the year, 2-1 in the AMC. The Lynx are coming off a pair of shutout victories over Central Baptist College and Williams Baptist University. LUB is led up front by Sarah Garcia and Luiza Bueno. Garcia has a team-best six goals on the season, while Bueno has tallied a team-high three assists in the 2019 campaign. The Lynx will lean on goalkeeper, Daniela Ruiz, who has recorded 24 saves this year.
Lyon College: The Lyon College Scots are currently 4-4 on the season, 1-2 in the AMC. Lyon is coming off a 3-2 victory over Central Baptist College on Tuesday. The visitors from Batesville are led up front by an array of Scots.
Tabetha Troxler has scored a team-best six goals this year.
Sarah Evans and
Kimberly Fretwell have tallied four goals apiece on the young season, while
Alexandria Denton and
Hailey Gonzales have recorded six and five assists, respectively. In addition to her goal-scoring abilities, the Scots will lean on goalkeeper,
Tabetha Troxler, who has recorded a team-best 18 saves.

Lyon is 3-2 all-time against Lindenwood University-Belleville, with their most recent meeting being in 2018 as the Lynx defeated the Scots by a score of 3-0.
