BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's soccer team used four second-half goals to defeat Central Baptist College by a score of 4-1 Tuesday afternoon.
Lyon moves to 6-4 overall, 2-1 in the AMC, while Central Baptist College falls to 3-5 overall, 0-3 in the AMC.
GAME FLOW
The Mustangs got on the board first in the 17
th minute. Carlos Beltran sent a long pass to Tyler Maynard. Maynard, then, flicked it in front of the goal to Ryan Lee. Lee headed the ball into the back of the net, giving the Mustangs a 1-0 lead. As the halftime whistle sounded, Central Baptist led Lyon by a score of 1-0.
Lyon sent more guys forward in the second half in search for the equalizer. In the 62
nd minute,
Estiven Garcia started a counter attack. Garcia pushed the ball up the sideline to
Marcos Fernandez. Fernandez, then, took a couple dribbles before delivering a perfect cross into the box to a cutting

Marcos Fernandez. Fernandez got a rebound off his own shot and slid it past the goalie into the corner of the goal, giving Lyon a 2-1 advantage. In the 81
st minute,
Thei Tlo took the ball up the sideline and delivered a cross into the box.
Raimundo Cabello got on the end of it and headed the ball past the outstretched arms of the CBC keeper, extending Lyon's lead to two. The Scots would score once more as
Nate Ayalew dribbled the ball up the right sideline before finding a cutting
Matias Lopez at the top of the box. Lopez blistered a shot into the back of the net, giving the Scots a 4-1 lead. The Mustangs would try to generate chances, but the defense of the Scots held strong and Lyon defeated CBC by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
