BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's soccer team hosts Freed-Hardeman University on Monday at Huser Field. The match will begin at 4:30 p.m.
The Matchup
Freed-Hardeman University: The Freed-Hardeman University Lions, a member of the American Midwest Conference, post a 3-2 record on the year. The Lions are coming off a 6-0 victory over Lincoln Christian University on Thursday. Freed-Hardeman is led up front by Daniel Peinado and Gabriel Carvahlo. Peinado has a team-best 11 goals and two assists, while Carvahlo has scored four times and tallied a team-high seven assists on the year. The Lions will lean on goalkeeper, Calum Langdale, who has recorded a team-best 11 saves in the 2019 campaign.
Lyon College: The Lyon College Scots are currently 4-3 on the season. Lyon is coming off a 2-1 victory over Southwestern Christian University on Tuesday. The Scots are led up front by
Raimundo Cabello and
Marcos Fernandez. Cabello has tallied a team-high six goals on the year, while Fernandez has an NAIA-best 10 assists. Lyon's
Nate Ayalew has tallied five goals so far, while
Emanuel Santos has posted six assists in the 2019 campaign. Lyon College will also lean on junior goalkeeper,
Vicente Alamos, who has totaled a team-best 20 saves, including one clean sheet.

Lyon is 3-2-1 all-time against Freed-Hardeman University, with their most recent meeting being in 2018 as the Scots defeated the Lions by a score of 7-2.
