BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's soccer team travels to Missouri to compete in the Culver-Stockton Tournament. The Scots will face Lincoln College on Friday at 5:00 p.m.
The Matchup
Lincoln College: This will be the third game of the season for the Lincoln College Lynx. The Lynx opened up the 2019 campaign with a 1-1 tie to the University of St. Francis, before defeating Greenville University, 3-1. Lincoln College is led up front by Abdoulaye Sylla and Adrian Roman. Sylla has a team-best two goals on the year, while Roman has tallied one assist and one goal. The Lynx will lean on goalkeeper, Pierson Fleming, who has recorded a team-high six saves.
Lyon College: The Lyon College Scots are coming off a victory over Bacone College on Tuesday. The Scots are led up front by
Raimundo Cabello and
Marcos Fernandez. Cabello has tallied a team-high five goals on the year, while Fernandez has an NAIA-best seven assists. Juniors,
Juan Gonzalez and
Nate Ayalew, have each tallied four goals in the 2019 campaign. Lyon College will also lean on junior goalkeeper,
Vicente Alamos, who totaled a team-best seven saves.
Series History
This will be the first meeting between the two sides.
