BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's basketball team will conclude the 2019 calendar year with a road game at The W (Mississippi University for Women) on Monday evening. Tip-off for Monday's non-conference contest is slated at 6 p.m.

THE MATCHUP
LYON: The Scots rallied back from a 10-point deficit with just under 11 minutes remaining in the second half and earned a 51-50 victory over William Woods in their last game on Dec. 21. The win pushed the Scots to 9-3 on the season. Hunter Daley remains the leading scorer and rebounder for the Scots at 12.3 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game. Daley has also leads the team in assists (30) and steals (18). Cole Anderson had his best game of the season against WWU as he led the Scots with 17 points for a new season high.
THE W: The Owls are 2-10 entering Monday's matchup and are coming off a 74-61 loss at home on Dec. 19 to Blue Mountain College. Keith Harris has been the go-to player for the Owls this season as he leads the team in scoring at 21.2 points per game. Two other players are also averaging double figures in scoring for The W. Tyler Jackson is averaging 12.1 points per game, while Tavonta Jones is just behind him at 11.4 PPG.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the first meeting between the Scots and Owls in the history of the two programs. Lyon and The W will meet up again later this season on Feb. 4 in Batesville, Ark.
UP NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
Following Monday's game against The W, the Scots will return home to host No. 18 Central Baptist College on Jan. 4 at 3 p.m. in Becknell Gymnasium.
