BATESVILLE, Ark. – Lyon College head volleyball coach,
Ray Green, has announced the signing of Morgan Maxwell who will join the Scots during the 2020-21 school year.
"We are excited to add Morgan to the Lyon College Volleyball family. She is a great talent with versatility both offensively and defensively," said Coach
Ray Green. "Morgan brings a lot to the table as an Arkansas All-State selection with excellent academics. She has many years of experience playing at a very competitive level with excellent training from great coaches. Welcome to Lyon, Morgan!"
Morgan Maxwell led the Perryville High School Mustangs both on and off the court throughout her exceptional high school career. Maxwell was a three-time All-Conference selection, named to the All-State Tournament Team for the 2018 and 2019 season, and a two-time All-State selection. The senior student-athlete was also named to the Under Armour Watch List and earned the MaxPreps/AVCA Arkansas Volleyball Player of the Week award. The Mustang notched 1,034 kills, 707 digs, and 202 aces throughout her career.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Maxwell dedicated herself to the classroom and was a member of various clubs at Perryville High School. Her commitment to her studies will enable her to graduate with honors while also playing a vital role in the following clubs – Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, and Wildlife Club.
