SAC Release
OKLAHOMA CITY – Following a historic season, the Lyon College football team racked up the All-Sooner Athletic Conference selections as a total nine players earned all-conference accolades, led by Randy Satterfield, who was named as the SAC Newcomer and Athlete of the Year.
Satterfield, who led the conference in receiving yards (867) and touchdown receptions (11), was also named a First-Team All-SAC selection at wide receiver. He also earned First-Team All-SAC accolades as a kick and punt returner. Satterfield eclipsed 100 receiving yards four times during the season and had four multi-touchdown games. He had a season-high 209 receiving yards and three touchdown receptions on Sept. 28 against Texas Wesleyan. He set the program record for single-season receptions (47), single-season points (78), single-season receiving yards (867) and career touchdown receptions (11). Satterfield also played a big role in the return game for the Scots. He ranked second in the NAIA in kickoff return yards per attempt (31.7) and ninth in punt return yards per attempt (10.4). He also ranked in the top 10 in the NAIA in all-purpose yards per game (152.9) and total all-purpose yards (1,529). Satterfield returned a punt 42 yards for a touchdown on Aug. 31 against Missouri Baptist and a kickoff 87 yards for another score on Oct. 26 against Wayland Baptist.
Sam Taylor was named as a First-Team All-SAC selection at linebacker. Taylor led the Scots with 98.0 tackles this season, including 12.5 tackles-for-loss. His 98 total tackles ranked third in the conference this season. Taylor accumulated 10-or-more tackles six times during the season, including a season-high of 13 tackles twice (Sept. 7 at Hendrix and Nov. 9 against Arizona Christian).

He also ran for two scores during the season. Bradford threw for a season-high 462 yards and five touchdowns on Sept. 28 against Texas Wesleyan. This season, Bradford broke the school record for passing yards in a single game, passing touchdowns in a single game, total passing yards in a season, passing touchdowns in a single season and most passing yards per game (212.3).
