BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's basketball team split their two games at the Talladega College Tournament last weekend in what was the final tune-up for the Scots before opening up American Midwest Conference play this weekend at home. The Scots will host Lindenwood-Belleville on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Missouri Baptist on Saturday at 2 p.m.

THE MATCHUP
LYON: Lyon sports a 4-1 record entering this weekend's matchups. Hunter Daley leads a trio of Scots averaging double figures in scoring this season at 12.6 points per game. Daley has been a sharpshooter from distance this season as he has made 16-of-35 shots from beyond the arc. Dominique Loyd is second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.4 points per game. Ray Price is averaging 10 points per game and leads the Scots with 18 assists this season.
LUB: Lindenwood-Belleville enters Thursday night's matchup at 0-3 on the season. The Lynx dropped a road exhibition game at NCAA Division II Missouri S&T on Tuesday night, 77-59. Christian McCoy is the player to watch for the Lynx this season. McCoy is averaging a double-double through the first three games of the season with 13.3 points per game and 14.3 rebounds per game.
MBU: Missouri Baptist is 4-1 entering this weekend and will play at (RV) Central Baptist College on Thursday night prior to making the trip to Batesville on Saturday. James McKelvin is the top scorer for the Spartans through their first five games, as he is averaging 16 points per game. McKelvin has had a pair of 26-point games so far this season. Brendon Hardy is second on the team in scoring, averaging 15 points per game. Hardy is a perfect, 15-for-15, from the charity stripe so far this season. Jahmouri Robinson and Hasaan DeCarolis are also averaging double figures in scoring this season at 12.8 and 12.2 points per game, respectively.
SERIES HISTORY
Lindenwood-Belleville leads the all-time series against the Scots, 7-4. Lyon swept the two-game series against the Lynx last season.
Lyon holds a slight, 13-11, advantage in the all-time series against Missouri Baptist. MBU won both games in the two-game series against the Scots last season.
UP NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
Following this weekend's conference games against LUB and MBU, the Scots will travel to No. 11 LSU-Shreveport for a non-conference game on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
