BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's basketball team improved to 3-0 to start the season with a 75-60 win at Crowley's Ridge College on Tuesday. The Scots will look to keep their perfect record intact this weekend when they head to the Talladega College Classic in Alabama. The Scots will open up the two-day classic on Friday at 2 p.m. against Faulkner. Lyon will wrap up tournament play on Saturday at 11 a.m. against Rust College.

THE MATCHUP
LYON: Hunter Daley led all scorers in Tuesday night's win at Crowley's Ridge College as he dropped a game-high 22 points. Daley shot the ball well all game as he finished 7-for-13 from the field, including 5-for-8 from beyond the arc. Daley improved his points per game average to an even 15, which is second on the team to Dominique Loyd's 16.7 points per game. Zalek Sharp and Jonathan Iliya are also averaging double figures in scoring at 10.7 and 10 points per game, respectively.
FAULKNER: Faulkner enters this weekend's classic at 4-1 on the year after dropping a non-conference home game to Tuskegee, 74-69, on Nov. 7. Three Eagles are averaging double figures in scoring this season, led by Milan Skundric's 13.2 points per game. Skundric also leads the team with 8.6 rebounds per game. C.J. Williamson is second on the team in scoring at 13 points per game, while Nate Bradley is averaging 10.8 points per game.
RUST: Rust enters this weekend's classic at 0-6 on the season. Much of the Bearcats' offense is ran through Jordan Jackson, who is averaging a team-high 21 points per game. Jackson ranks second in the NAIA in total points scored (126) and 10th in points per game. Terrell Jennings is another scoring threat for the Bearcats as he is averaging 14.8 points per game to go along with 8.3 rebounds per game.
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the first time the Scots will match up against Faulkner and Rust in the history of the program.
UP NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
Following this weekend's Talladega College Classic, the Lyon College men's basketball team will open up American Midwest Conference play next week. The Scots will host Lindenwood-Belleville on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and Missouri Baptist on Saturday at 2 p.m.
