BATESVILLE, Ark. – Lyon College (10-8, 2-2 AMC) hits the road for a pair of conference matches on Friday and Saturday. Lyon battles Freed-Hardeman University on Oct. 4 at 7:00 p.m. The following day, the Scots will take on in-state rival, Williams Baptist University. First serve between Lyon and WBU is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Freed-Hardeman University: The Lady Lions (10-7, 2-1 AMC) enter this matchup on a two-match skid. FHU's Kacey Donegan and Claire Walker are the AMC's leaders in kills as they have totaled 228 and 225 kills, respectively. Emma Self sets for FHU's two outside hitters as she has recorded a team-best 545 assists. Self also leads the conference in aces, racking up 38 aces during the 2019 campaign. Defensively, Reilly Fulton paces the Lady Lions in digs with 309.
Williams Baptist University: The Eagles sport a 3-14 record and 1-3 mark in conference play. Monica Guerrero has a team-leading 97 kills, while Sarah Kennedy paces WBU in assists as she has compiled 201 assists this season. Defensively, the eagles are led by Shelby Henson (304 digs) and Madison Lawson (36 blocks).
Lyon College: The Scots are 10-8 overall and 2-2 in the AMC during the 2019 campaign. Lyon is third in the conference in hitting percentage (.216) and service aces per set (2.02). Four Scots have accumulated over 100 kills this year – Michayla Shanks (161), Kendra Kelley (131), Gracen Ratliff (114), and Alley Edwards (102). Kaitlyn Jackson has tallied a team-best 279 assists, while Ellie Embry has etched 225 assists. Defensively, Maria Eleni Bampiri has notched 33 blocks this season.
