GAME FLOW
In the first half, each side would have opportunities, but the defense of the Scots and Spartans would hold strong. The best opportunity in the first half came off a header by Joyce Barbosa that hit off the crossbar before going just over the goal. The match would remain scoreless as the halftime whistle sounded.
The second half would be very similar to the first. Missouri Baptist dominated the possession of the ball in the second and outshot the Scots 7-2. The Scots, however, would stay organized in the back and turned away any promising opportunities. The match remained scoreless after 90 minutes of action.
Overtime began with a shot by Missouri Baptist's Jackie Hagan. Hagan struck a shot from the top of the box that Olivia Wolfram made a very nice save on to punch it over the goal. The score would remain scoreless after two 10 minute sessions, earning the Scots a draw against the Spartans.
