GAME FLOW
The Columbia College Cougars opened the scoring early in the first half as Caden Castello dribbled down the sideline to the corner and took a shot that went just over the goalkeeper's reach. Lyon College would look to answer back, but were unsuccessful in the first half and Columbia kept the one goal advantage heading into the half.
Columbia picked up the offensive pressure early in the second half as the Cougars would score two goals in the first four minutes of the half. Lesia Thetsane scored off a set piece in the 47th minute. Just two minutes later, in the 49th minute, Cameron Durst would find the back of the net off a pass from Thetsane. The Scots would send more men forward trying to answer back. The Cougars, however, held strong defensively and used a counter attack to score their fourth goal of the game as Joey Koetting crossed a ball into Ximo Gil who beat the keeper. The score would stay this way the rest of the way as the Scots lost to the Cougars by a score of 4-0.
