GAME FLOW
The first half saw both teams create chances, but were unsuccessful in scratching across the first goal of the afternoon. Lyon outshot Williams Baptist University 5-3 in the first half.
In the second half, the offensive intensity picked up and the Scots took the first lead of the game. In the 55th minute, Estiven Garcia delivered a great cross into the box to Emanuel Santos. Santos settled the pass and took a shot the beat the keeper, giving the Scots a 1-0 advantage. Lyon would keep this one goal lead until the 74th minute as Rafael Santos sent a nice pass to Estiven Garcia. Garcia, then, found a cutting Emanuel Santos who delivered a shot into the back of the net. Williams Baptist sent more guys forward attempting to cut into the two goal lead, but the defense of the Scots remained strong, earning Lyon a 2-0 win over Williams Baptist University in the quarterfinals of the AMC Tournament.
