GAME FLOW
The Cougars got on the scoreboard first as Molly Klein delivered a corner kick to Kelsey Mirts into the box. Mirts would take a shot that went into the back of the net, giving Columbia College a 1-0 advantage. The Cougars would hold this one goal lead until the 42nd minute. Columbia's Chloe Hall found a cutting Molly Klein who struck a shot just past the goalie. As the halftime whistle sounded, Columbia College held a 2-0 lead. Columbia outshot Lyon 16-1 in the first half.
The Scots searched for a goal to cut the lead in half, but were unsuccessful. The Cougars would go on to add two more goals in the second half as Katie Cook scored in the 62nd minute and Lucy Kingsley scored in the 77th minute. As the final whistle sounded, the Cougars defeated the Scots by a score of 4-0 Friday evening in the quarterfinals of the AMC Tournament.
