Lyon held a slim lead on FHU early in the first set until the FHU knotted the score at 13-13. The Lady Lions would take their first lead of the stanza on one of Bojana Antunovic's 21 kills on the afternoon, 14-13. The visitors would not look back, winning the first set by a score of 25-20.
Both teams exchanged leads early in the second frame. The Scots held a 13-10 advantage after one of
Gracen Ratliff's 13 kills of the match, assisted by
Kaitlyn Jackson. FHU would respond, though, rallying to win the next eight points to regain the lead. Lyon cut the deficit to only two on separate occasions. However, the Lady Lions were up for the challenge as they closed out the second set, 25-22.
Facing a 2-0 deficit, there was no quit in the Scots. Lyon jetted out to a 16-9 advantage. The Scots would hold a comfortable lead throughout the remainder of the third stanza, winning the set by a score of 25-20.
In the fourth frame, Freed-Hardeman recorded the first four points. The Scots fought back, but FHU responded with another four consecutive points in the middle of the set to hold a 13-5 advantage. Lyon cut FHU's lead to three points, 16-13. Yet, the Lady Lions regained the momentum and took the fourth set, 25-19, winning the match against the Scots, 3-1.

Madisson Williams was all over the court as she tallied 33 digs.

Gracen Ratliff and
Kendra Kelley overpowered FHU at certain times in the match as both finished with 13 kills.

Michayla Shanks was impressive this afternoon as she recorded her sixth double-double of the season (11 kills and 10 digs).
- FHU totaled three more kills and committed three less errors than the Scots.
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE SCOTS
On Tuesday, Lyon will square off against College of the Ozarks at 7:00 p.m. in Becknell Gymnasium. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this home non-conference tilt will be Lyon Volleyball's annual Dig Pink Match to help raise awareness and relief efforts for breast cancer. The Scots will sport pink uniforms during the match and have pink decorations all around Becknell Gymnasium.
