GAME FLOW
Crowley's Ridge College:
This was a rematch of the Aug. 25 matchup between the Scots and the Lady Pioneers, which Lyon won in four sets. CRC arrived in Becknell Gymnasium this afternoon with one thing on their mind – revenge. The Scots narrowly took the first set 29-27. However, CRC fought back to take the second set and even the match. The third set was the Scots best of the match as the home team was passing effectively and playing excellent defense. After winning the third set 25-13, Lyon dropped the fourth to set up a winner-take-all fifth set. In the final set, the Scots took an early advantage and never looked back, winning the set 15-10, and match 3-2.
Tougaloo College:
This was the second match of the day for both teams. However, Lyon looked like the fresher team all night. The Scots stormed out of the gate to take a one set advantage, winning the first set 25-19. The second set went back and forth with both teams exchanging leads. The Scots, though, earned the most critical points of the match and won the second set 25-23. The third set was another back and forth affair. Tougaloo was serving to win the set, but the Scots defense was up for the challenge as the home squad won the point and eventually the set by a score of 27-25 to secure the sweep of the Lady Bulldogs.

COACH'S CORNER
"Great way to start the second half of the season. We were pretty offensive throughout both matches. Madisson had another great day of serve, receive, passing, and digging. All 4 setters ran good offense, and our defensive specialists gave them the passes necessary to be successful. Two good wins!" - Coach
Ray Green
