Searcy, AR – The Fighting Scots made the short trip to Searcy to compete in the Steve Guymon Invitational, hosted by Harding University. The Scots women's team secured another top-three finish, while the men's team placed fifth overall.
For the women, five Scots competed, with
Briley Brown leading the way for Lyon. Brown finished 30th overall with a time of 23:08.50.
Madison DeRoussel followed in 33rd at 23:59.90, while
Novalee Lackey (36th),
Anna Vaverka (37th), and
Brianna Krantz (38th) rounded out the Scots' results.
The men's team placed fifth overall, with
Joshua Molett setting the pace for the Scots with a 16th-place finish in 22:46.40.
Elijah Benton followed in 24th at 23:08.40, while
Thomas Pluhar finished 34th with a time of 24:16.50.
Frederick Wright (40th), Colin Orvin (43rd),
Daniel Thomas (46th), and
Koby Hudson (47th) rounded out the scoring for the Scots.
Up next, the Scots will travel to Walnut Ridge to compete in a meet hosted by Williams Baptist University.
