HATTIESBURG, Mississippi -Â Lyon College Archers found success after completing the ranking round at the 56th Annual USA Archery Indoor Nationals in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Thursday and Friday.
At the end of four hours of shooting 300 arrows, scores were tabulated and ranking for the next round of competition were earned.
Finishing spots for the Lyon College archers were as follows:
Delacey Kell for U21 ranked third and fourth for collegiate women's compound.
Anthony Schaible shot in the men's division compound class earning a ranking of first place for U21, and second place in the collegiate division.
Bare bow recurve archer,
Seth Moore, had the same ranking of third in both divisions after completing his 300 arrows.
Lyon College archers,
Maggie Mason and Kaitlyn Lucio, competed in the women's fixed pin division of the competition with Mason earning a ranking of third in the U21 and fifth in collegiate women. Lucio finished the ranking with a fourth place ranking and a seventh place in the U21 and collegiate categories.Â
The team will return to the Ben Waddle Arena in Hattiesburg, again today for the next round round of competition, which will include another 300 arrows.Â
Final Day
After another day of competition at the Ben Waddle Arena, the Lyon College archers finished the day with great standings. When the scores were tabulated at the end of competition today the following standings were held by the Lyon Archers:
In the Compound Men's Division, first place for U21 and second place for Collegiate was
Anthony Schaible.Â
Delacey Kell was fourth and fifth respectively for U21 and Collegiate Women's Compound.Â
Maggie Mason finished the day with a ranking of third for U21 and fifth for Collegiate Fixed Pin. Kaitlyn Lucio, who also competes in the Women's Fixed Pin division, was ranked fourth in U21 and eighth over all in Collegiate.
Seth Moore kept the third place spot for Bare Bow Recurve in both the Senior Men's and Collegiate division.Â
