BATESVILLE, Arkansas - The Lyon College women's wrestling team faced Fontbonne University in their first home dual of the season on Friday afternoon in the Terry Garner Recreation Arena and in head coach Emma de Brum's debut, the Scots came out successful defeating their opponent 18-15. 

Rubi Gonzalez and Sidney Milligan received forfeits in their respective weight classes while junior, Mikayla Wallace, and freshman, Madisen Nash, stepped up to the line.

Mikayla Wallace made a brilliant comeback after being down 0-6 just one minute into the match. After scoring points to gain the advance, Wallace caught her opponent in a near side cradled and pinned her for the win in the second rund of their match. 

Madisen Nash put on a dominant display by scoring points off of every shot her opponent took. She defeated her opponent by decision 6-0 which contributed essential points to her team's overall score. 

The Scots will be back in action January 16th, where they will wrestle in dual hosted by the University of the Ozarks.
