MELBOURNE, Arkansas - Lyon College senior
Luke Jackson made a birdie on the first hole of a playoff on Tuesday afternoon to bring home medalist honors at the Lyon College Spring Invite against Mississippi University for Women at Cooper's Hawk Golf Course in Melbourne.
Jackson shot a 2-day total of 152. He parred most of the front nine on Tuesday and had a birdie on hole eight. It was his only birdie of the day, until the playoff hole for medalist.Â
Jackson's score, coupled with
Brody Jeanes, who shot a 70 on Day 2 of the tournament with birdies on holes 2, 8, 10, 11 and 17 for the round, finished with a 2-day total of 154.
Jeanes was tied with fellow Scot golfer
Will Bolles, who shot a 74 in the second round.
Bolles had birdies on holes 2, 7, 9, 10 and 17 and finished with a total of 154.Â
Tyler Doucet shot an 83 on the day and finished with a 168 total.
Wes Lange came in with an 82 on Tuesday and birdied holes 2 and 11 for a total of 170.Â
As a team, the scores scored 327 in round one and shot 300 in round two for a total of 627. MUW shot a compiled 649.
